Dear Diary, 

Today marks another day in the life of a rebel. While my peers are racing towards that elusive 12.0 GPA, here I am, happy with an 11.0. 

Why, you ask? Well, Diary, it’s simple. In a world (program) where everyone is obsessed with perfection, I find beauty in the “almost there.” Now some may laugh at me, but I overhear conversations in the Health Science Halls – “Dude you didn’t 12 cell bio?? Good luck at the Caribbeans.” Little do they know, in the land of 12s, 11 is king. It’s the number that says I’m still brilliant, but I also have a life. I mean have these people ever experienced the joy of a Netflix binge without the haunting guilt of memorizing every article Dr. Chair sends on Teams? I doubt it. 

Diary, in the sea of 12s, an 11 is a testament to the fact that you can be great without being perfect. It is a reminder that life is more than just a number. It’s experiences, it’s laughter, and yes, it’s the occasional A instead of an A+. 

In a program where perfection is the norm, I choose to be perfectly imperfect. I’m kenough! #BeAnEleven.
